When energized the motor retracts the exit device latch and pulls the pushpad on most devices into the dogged (depressed) position enabling momentary or sustained push and pull operation of the door. This EM (External Module) Model has an external controller board which is intended to gain about 3 4" to an 1" of spacing within the
