It is aged in equal parts French and American Oak, both new and used, for 24 months. The vines were planted in the 80's from cuttings that can trace their lineage back to a vineyard planted in the 1890's that used cuttings from Chtea Margaux. The wine has a lovely blue fruited clarity layered with earthy tannins. It is supple, grippy, yet
