vintage japanese monochrome print : riverside view / the road silver toned chocolatesThis monochrome reproduction has a different work by Omoda Seiju (1891 1933) on each side, offering a choice of two vistas a languid riverside landscape, and sweeping bucolic panorama. Omoda Seiju's use of negative space and choice of subject landscapes, birds, animals, insects typical of the era, make him an exemplar of the early twentieth century nihonga (Japanese art) movement.
