Antique Native American Indian Snowshoes Vintage American Trapper This museum exhibit includes manyAntique Native American Indian Snowshoes c. 1930 1940, 20th century Wood, Babiche, Metal (nails) 28. 5"l x 13"w Vintage Winter Native American Indian Snowshoes with a unique square toe teardrop shape. The fine weaving on the babiche was likely done with animal hide; possibly caribou. The colorful fabric under the weaving on the sides of the frame was likely for easy identification, as well as useful while trapping (by adding scent masking). The
