Glières 1944 Saïgon stopped in Varennes-en-ArgonneGlires 1944. More than 60 years ago, the battle of Glires was a "great and beautiful adventure" (Malraux) which spilled the blood of more than a hundred resistance fighters from Haute Savoie. This episode, symbol of the Resistance to the Nazi occupation and to the Vichy Order Maintenance Forces (Militia and GMR) had never been approached from a military point of view.
