The flat section of the girth at the horse's elbows allows for maximum freedom of movement. Furthermore, the wider, slightly firmer center section distributes pressure on the ribcage. Made of soft, grained leather, the girth features a large snap hook in the center, which makes it easier to attach the breastplate. For added safety, the snap hook can be covered by the large leather flap.
