Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal (Aka Galipoli Star), C.1917 Archive maker mark double-stamped on the(Harp Madalyas). Instituted in 1915. Of local Turkish manufacture in cast metal with red patination, ball finials on the tips of the star points, Turkish made, measuring 55. 5 mm (w) x 53. 2 mm (h), horizontal pinback, scattered wear in the red patination and the silvering, better than very fine.
